Port Washington Fire Department
🇺🇸 Today we mark the 24th anniversary of September 11, 2001. We honor and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that tragic day, and we keep in our prayers the countless heroes, survivors, and families forever impacted. We also stand with those who continue to battle 9/11-related illnesses, whose courage and sacrifice remind us that the legacy of that day endures not only in memory but also in the ongoing fight for health and healing. We honor and remember Port Washington Firefighters Michael “Mugsy” Pickering and Robert Reese, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others. Both gave their lives as a result of 9/11-related illnesses, directly tied to their heroic rescue and recovery efforts. Their courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting others will forever be etched in our hearts and in the history of our community.May we never forget. #NeverForget #September11 #911Anniversary ...
