Port Washington Fire Department
🚒 Mutual Aid Response – Roslyn HeightsThis past Wednesday morning, the Port Washington Fire Department responded mutual aid to assist the Albertson Fire Department at a house fire in Roslyn Heights, where a Nassau County firefighter suffered serious burn injuries after falling partially through a weakened roof. His partner — a firefighter with just one year of service — reacted instantly, pulling him from danger and preventing more severe injuries. The injured firefighter was transported to Weill Cornell Burn Center in stable condition. The quick, decisive actions of his fellow firefighter exemplify the courage, training, and teamwork that define the fire service. The fire, which began on the home’s deck, was caused by careless smoking. All residents escaped safely. Please keep the injured firefighter, his family, and the members of the Carle Place Fire Department in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏#PWFD #MutualAid #FireService #Brotherhood #Teamwork #CarlePlaceFD ...
