Flemming Building Fire

At around 1:26pm on March 14th, 2013, the PWFD initiated signal 10 procedures for a working structure fire on 1 Herbert Ave. Detectives from the Nassau County Police Department have determined the fire started due to workers on the roof improperly using blow torches. New Year’s Eve Signal 10

At around 3 p.m. on December 31st, 2012, the Port Washington Fire Department responded to a working house fire in the Village of Sands Point. The Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department provided mutual aid to the scene with a F.A.S.T. team and ambulance. Mutual Aid to Great Neck

Residential Kitchen Fire

On the afternoon of July 30th, 2012 the PWFD responded to a house fire. The fire was quickly knocked down and a dog was rescued from the building. Mutual aid was provided by the Manhasset-Lakeville  Fire Department.

PWFD Responds to Commerical Fire

Four Vehicle Accident on Shore Road

Port Washington Volunteers responded to a multiple motor vehicle accident on July 3rd, 2012. The accident occurred on Shore Road in the vicinity of Columbia Place. Emergency medical technicians from Fire Medic Company #1 transported four victims with non-life threatening injuries to the hospital.
