Residential Kitchen Fire

On the afternoon of July 30th, 2012 the PWFD responded to a house fire. The fire was quickly knocked down and a dog was rescued from the building. Mutual aid was provided by the Manhasset-Lakeville  Fire Department.

PWFD Responds to Commerical Fire

At around 9am on July 12, 2012 the PWFD responded to a commercial fire at 666 Port Washington Boulevard. Units operated on the roof of the building in order to locate the fire and extinguish it. Four Vehicle Accident on Shore Road

Port Washington Volunteers responded to a multiple motor vehicle accident on July 3rd, 2012. The accident occurred on Shore Road in the vicinity of Columbia Place. Emergency medical technicians from Fire Medic Company #1 transported four victims with non-life threatening injuries to the hospital. PWFD Conducts Training in Building Set to be Demolished

On June 28th, 2012 the PWFD conducted training on a residential building scheduled to be torn down in the near future. The building was filled with artifical smoke to simulate fire conditions. Single Vehicle Motor Vehicle Accident

Sometime after midnight on the morning of June 26, 2012, a single vehicle veered off the road hitting a guardrail and tree. The PWFD rescued the driver, the sole occupant, and transported the individual to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Photos have been digitally altered.
