PWFD Drills Water Rescue Skills

On June 30, 2011 the PWFD practiced it’s water rescue skills at Capri Marina in Manorhaven. All four companies had the opportunity to work together on simulated rescues of injured boaters and a watercraft on fire. Atlantic Hook & Ladder Company used their specialized Mustang Suits to rescue and stabilize the simulated injured boaters. Fire Medic Company provided medical care once the victims were removed from the water. Protection Engine and Flower Hill Hose Companies worked together to extinguisher a simulated boat fire.

The drill was covered by the Port Washington Patch and an article is available here.
