On the afternoon of July 30th, 2012 the PWFD responded to a house fire. The fire was quickly knocked down and a dog was rescued from the building. Mutual aid was provided by the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department.

At around 9am on July 12, 2012 the PWFD responded to a commercial fire at 666 Port Washington Boulevard. Units operated on the roof of the building in order to locate the fire and extinguish it. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature. The PWFD was asssisted by mutual aid
Port Washington Volunteers responded to a multiple motor vehicle accident on July 3rd, 2012. The accident occurred on Shore Road in the vicinity of Columbia Place. Emergency medical technicians from Fire Medic Company #1 transported four victims with non-life threatening injuries to the hospital. Firefighters from Atlantic Hook and Ladder Company #1 prevented automotive fluids
